So, it looks as though many of you are as stumped as me when it comes to tips on upcycling, recycling and using salvaged items in new projects - only 2 comments! So I'm going to start doing a bit of my own research and will put together a list of links and ideas on how to use household items in projects - effectively saving things from ending up in a great big hole in the ground.
